Mackinac Island Trip June 9-16

Over 20 travelers from Shelby County State Bank and Crawford County Bank joined new friends from Nebraska for a trip to Mackinac Island, Michigan.

We began our trip at the Frederik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park in Southwest Michigan.  That evening, we stayed at McGuire's Resort in Cadillac.

The next day, we took a ferry ride to Mackinac Island.  After a carriage tour of the island, we cleaned up and enjoyed a formal dinner at the Grand Hotel.  Our accomodations at the Grand Hotel were outstanding.

Our trip would not have been complete without a tour of Frankenmouth and a shopping stop at Bronner's Christmas world.

For the gentlemen, we also toured the Ford F-150 factory & Henry Ford Museum/Greenfield Village.

On our way home, we had two mystery stops:  The Route 66 Museum in Joliet Illinois, and a tour of the Missippi Rivery Distilling Company in LeClair Iowa.  LeClair is also home of American Pickers and the Buffalo Cody Museum.
